About us
York Lodge is a lovingly restored Victorian Residence with its own charm and where the atmosphere is one of modern facilities and restful comfort. The Lodge is now managed by the owner Tony Macphail with the emphasis being on friendliness, cleanliness and informality. It is Tony’s mission to see that you enjoy your stay at the Lodge.
York Lodge is situated less than ten minutes walk from the city centre so you are surrounded by York's tourist attractions, restaurants and pubs.
All the rooms have been recently refurbished to a very high standard and are spacious and all are with en-suite bathroom facilities, alarm clocks and Freeview flatscreen TV’s! Free Wi Fi is also available throughout the Lodge. After you have checked into your room you will find tea and coffee making facilities plus a range of beverages on your hospitality tray including sweets and biscuits compliments of the Lodge.
A freshly prepared breakfast menu is served in our comfortable dining room, where you are invited to start your day in comfort and a relaxed atmosphere.
Accommodation
Guests are made to feel very welcome at the Lodge. All rooms are individually decorated, comfortable and warm where guests can the restful atmosphere that remains a central theme to the interior of the house.
Fresh flowers, and many personal touches make York Lodge the perfect place to relax and unwind after a days sightseeing, a real home from home.
There is visitor information and guide books available to guests, and Tony is delighted to provide further information and advice on ‘where to go’ and ‘what to see’ in York and the surrounding areas.
All rooms include full central heating, En suite facilities, clean towels daily, clock radio alarms, Freeview TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities including sweets and biscuits.
Breakfast is served between 8am-9am and has a full menu to suit all tastes.
