You are sure to receive a warm welcome from Cindy and Tim when you stay at their cosy farmhouse in the heart of the Fens. Located between Ely and Wisbech, it makes an ideal base from which to explore the numerous local attractions.
A little further afield are the N. Norfolk coast, the Wash and Breckland. Your hosts know East Anglia well and would be happy to offer help and advice to enhance your stay. As keen naturalists, information on wildlife sites is a speciality. Whether your interests lie in birdwatching, fishing or visiting historic sites and towns, Stockyard Farm offers a comfortable and convenient retreat.
The accommodation consists of one double bedroom and one twin room, both with wash basins and hot drinks facilities.

The luxury bathroom has a corner bath and a seperate shower cubicle. There is a guests' lounge, which opens into the conservatory (top picture right), where breakfast is served.

Visitors are also welcome to use the patio or sit in the garden. The house has full central heating and is double-glazed throughout. Ample private parking. Non-Smokers only. Pets by arrangement.
A Selection of things to do and places to go
Birdwatching/Nature Reserves - The Welney Centre and Ouse Washes are very close. Not far away are the Nene Washes, Wicken Fen, Titchwell, Holme, Snettisham, Roydon Common, Castor Hanglands, Weeting Heath and many more.
Fishing - Local well known waters include the Old Bedford, Ramsey Forty Foot, R. Cam/Old West/Ely Ouse and Pices Fishery.
Boating - Many larger waterways are navigable. Boat hire is available at Ely, March, Cambridge and Downham Market.
Cycling - E. Anglia is ideal cycling country with many routes to follow.
Walking - Several waymarked trails - the Hereward Way passes through Welney. Miles of Riverside Dog Walks in Welney.
Cathedrals and Churches - Ely, Peterborough, Bury St. Edmunds, Norwich, St. Wendreda's in March and several in Cambridge.
Historic Buildings and Archaeological Sites - Sandringham, Oxburgh Hall, Oliver Cromwell's House, Anglesey Abbey, Peckover House, Denny Abbey, Castle Acre Priory and Castle Rising etc. Numerous wind/watermills and pumping stations. Flag Fen (Bronze Age), Grimes Graves (Neolithic) and West Stowe (Anglo-Saxon).
Other attractions - Markets, museums, animal collections, gardens, horse-racing and the National Stud at Newmarket are just a few suggestions.

How to find us
Stockyard Farm is a detached white house that stands behind a beech hedge. It is on the outside of a long sweeping bend on the road to Wisbech (A1101) just N. of the main village. The gate is close to the street light by the birch tree.

From Littleport and Ely (via A10) or March (via B1099/98 & B1100) head towards Wisbech. We are on your right some 400 yards past a sharp right hand bend and just beyond a line of tall conifers.
